Do you go to church and not consider it merely a Sunday morning social function? Are you one of those folks who actually believes that human life is sacred? Do you firmly believe that the 2nd amendment doesn’t have anything to do with hunting and target shooting? Is your family one of those who has the discipline to school your children at home rather than merely pack them off to a government-run institution?
If so, you’re a threat to America. At least that’s what former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner thinks.
Whether it’s liberals like Mark Warner in Virginia, Frank Kratovil in Maryland, Nancy Pelosi or Barack Obama, it amazes me that the world has changed so much since the late ’80′s when liberals were afraid of showing their arrogance to average, hard working Americans. What amazes me even more is that people are willing to vote for people who hold our country’s values in utter contempt.

Former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner has finally agreed to a statewide televised debate with former Gov. Jim Gilmore. Warner had previously refused to take part in the League of Women Voters debate.
The debate is to take place on October 3rd at 7PM in Roanoke.

Mark Warner must not be too proud of the things he, and the Democrat party, stand for. Why then has Warner not only refused to take part in the traditional League of Women Voters debate, but he has canceled a scheduled debate before federal retirees in Hampton?
Don’t Virginians have the right to see the two major candidates to replace retiring Sen. John Warner (no relation) before choosing the best candidate? Perhaps that is why Mark Warner doesn’t want the public to see him answer direct questions.
Mark Warner already fooled Virginians once by claiming that he wouldn’t raise taxes. It will be a little difficult for him to try the same “trust me” routine again.

…Mark Warner wants to strip workers of the secret ballot.
Former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner has refused to publicly affirm his support of the so-called “Employee Free Choice Act”. Fortunately for Virginians, Warner was caught on video affirming his support for a bill which would strip workers of their current right to have a secret ballot in elections to decide union representation.

Will Tim Kaine Blame Mark Warner for Virginia’s Deficit?

It appears that Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine’s budget has about $1 billion too much spending. In a state that requires a balanced budget, what’s a liberal to do? Raise taxes, of course!
But wait! Every good liberal needs to blame someone. Will Kaine try the same trick as his predecessor? There’s no question that the GOP legislators who voted for this bag of air deserve some of the blame. There is also no question that people like Mark Warner and Tim Kaine – who are trying to make Virginia more like Maryland – deserve their share as well.

… Virginia Leftysphere all agog!
Former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner has been selected by the Messiah to deliver the keynote address for the Democratic National Convention. Needless to say, the lefty side of the Virginia blogosphere is wetting itself in gleeful anticipation.
According to Not Larry Sabato, “This will put Virginia seriously in play. Brilliant.” But wait! I thought Virginia was already “seriously in play”. I thought the Messiah was sending an army of volunteers to take Virginia back from the heathen conservatives.
Raising Kaine concurs that this will help Obama in Virginia.
How many people are going to change their votes because Mark Warner gave the keynote address? C’mon! Warner delivers such a barn burner to begin with!

Jim Gilmore for Senate has put up a page which is a one-stop shop for the info we discussed in a previous post on how Mark Warner deceived (and continues deceiving) Virginians when it comes to taxes. Mark Warner just hopes that not many Virginia voters bother checking out the facts.
