Who’s Lying About Health Care?

Americans were promised a TRANSPARENT process in health care reform:

What did Americans receive?  Senate Republicans literally being locked out of the negotiations.  BRIBERY for votes from the likes of Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE) and Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA).  And now a secret backroom deal to reconcile the House and Senate bills.

In other words … we got OBAMACARE!

Harry Reid in the Schoolhouse Door

Like his fellow Democrat, the late George Wallace, Senate Majority “Leader” Harry Reid (D-NV) is trying to keep a black man out of a white man’s domain.  Personally, I thought that Reid was a smarter politician.

The Congressional Black Caucus is screaming for newly appointed Sen.(?) Roland Burris to be seated.  It was leaked that Reid attempted to negotiate the appointment of a white woman, but would not agree to the appointment of ANY African-American.  Now his own caucus is rebelling.  Then Reid attempted to broker a deal that would require Burris to pledge not to run for the post in 2010.  I hope the people of Illinois really appreciate the Senator from Caesar’s Palace dictating to them who can run for office.

This was a simple matter.  Burris should NOT be seated at present.  He is required to have a certificate from the Illinois Secretary of State, which he does not possess.  Burris needs to wait until the courts demand that the Secretary of State sign the document (as he is required to do).

It doesn’t matter that Gov. Blago is under indictment.  Until impeached, cause he ain’t ever gonna resign, the Governor has the right to appoint a successor.  If there was “pay to play” then it needs to be proven.  In the meantime, pseudo-Senator Burris needs to get his paperwork in order and THEN the Senate needs to swear the man in.
