Does Evangelism Equal Genocide?

According to Ron Moore’s blog over at the Washington Examiner is appears so.  Mr. Champ over at TwoSentz has chosen promulgate this foolishness as well.

What am I talking about?  It seems that there is a video making its way around the internet that makes certain scary claims about Muslim demographics.  If this video is to be believed, Europe will be controlled by Muslims in 50 years and we’re next.  According to Moore and Mr. Champ the video is a call for some type of “ethnic cleansing” of Muslims.

To be fair, I’m not in a position to argue the veracity of the video’s claims; and I really don’t feel like doing the research.  However, I can testify that spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not “ethnic cleansing”.  And guess what?  That is precisely what action the video calls for.

If my buddy TwoSentz is going to allow this kind of garbage to be placed on his website, he has a definite right to do so.  However, I would suggest that he take down all of his supporting pictures and info about our mutual friend Jim Ireton.  I don’t think Jim can get re-elected with the key Muslim and radical atheist (apparently Mr. Champ’s pitch) vote.  Please, however, keep up all of the Frank Kratovil stuff.

GA, what’s up lately? You are usually much better than your latest couple ribbings of Champs.

This video does not call for the “spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” imho. Not when it spent 7 out of 7 &1/2 minutes talking about the rise of Muslims. Religion used in the name of demonizing other cultures and individuals is a failure in my book. It’s exactly what jihadists do to us Catholics. Do you say they are right in doing so?

Religion should not be used to cause tension and strife between God’s children. He loves them all, red, yellow, black and white, remember?

I think you realize Champs “pitch” is that whoring Christianity in this way is reprehensible. I hope you are just being purposely inflamatory and divisive and don’t actually believe this video serves any other purpose than a factual account of demographics (assuming it is true). A call to action it may be. But what action and why the round about fear driven way of getting there? I think they suckered you.

Perhaps the bigger question is do YOU, GA Harrison, feel it’s OK for the group that promoted this video, the Thomas Moore Law Center, to also promote Geert Wilders who has said “Islam is not a religion” and “the right to religious freedom should not apply to Islam.” Obviously TMLC has the right to promote whatever they want but, does GA Harrison agree with them and are you promoting the same philosophies?

    • Cato says:

Assuming that what you claim is correct, then of course I don’t promote those same philosophies. As I stated in the post, I don’t make any claim as to the factual accuracy of their statistics either. That was not my point.

Both Mr. Moore and your Champs1 seem to believe that the video argues for some sort of Muslim genocide. In fact, Mr. Champs is the one who uses the term “ethnic cleansing”. My quarrel is a simple one. The video DOES NOT make any such claim. Therefore, for both Mr. Moore and Champs1 to claim that it does is simply wrong.

  3. Two Sentz says:

OK. Yeah that would be quite a leap to infer genocide from that. I guess I just overlooked that claim as sensationalist.

I’m having a tough time understanding whether you are being sincere or not. Lately you’ve been allowing yourself to drop down a few notches to the level of folks like Mr. Champs.

Don’t do it. Just because your a lefty doesn’t mean that you aren’t worthy of respect.

      Take care.
