Barrie Comegys Blog Gets Even Scummier Post-Election

Jonathan Taylor, the “mind” behind the unofficial blog of the Barrie Comegys ticket of Gary Comegys, Muir Boda, and Shanie Shields is on a tear.  While I didn’t think it was possible to sink lower than they did during the recent Salisbury mayoral and council races, I was wrong.  From calling the spouse of one individual a “Bitch” to posting derogatory comments about the spouse and child of Councilwoman Debbie Campbell, it is obvious that the Barrie Comegys team will continue to be practicing the politics of LIES, HATE, and FEAR for some time to come.

While we should expect this from individuals like Mr. Taylor, going after someone’s kid is low even for the likes of Jonathan and his sleazy pals.  This is particularly so AFTER Taylor promised to stop attacks on Mayor-elect Jim Ireton and re-elected councilwoman Campbell.

I have been thinking today about what direction I want to go in now that the
election is over. I have finally made my decision. I will no longer make any
more personal attacks on Jim Ireton or Debbie Campbell, I will reserve those
for Joey only.

That was on Wednesday.  I can only conclude that in the sub-70 IQ world of Jonathan Taylor “I will no longer” means “I won’t do it NOW”.  On Thursday, the chief scribe of the Comegys, Boda, and Shields ticket was going after Campbell’s husband Bill and their son Billy.  Bad move Jonathan.  Billy Campbell may just be the smartest person you’ve ever been in a room with.

Regarding young Master Campbell, the Comegys, Boda acolyte had this to say:

Billy Campbell receives home schooling not from a teacher but from his mom,my question is why doesn’t billy (sic) attend public school or a private school?  Instead he spends his day playing video games. Does he have a disability that warrants him not going to school?

What does this show?  Quite obviously, Taylor posseses the same in-depth knowledge of Maryland education policy as our resident Nobel laureate Gary Comegys displays in the field of economics.

Yes, Billy receives home schooling.  His parents are his teachers.  Why doesn’t Billy attend a public or private school?  Because his parents made the decision to home school him.  Does he have a disability that warrants him not going to school?  No.  He doesn’t need one.  Like several physicians, at least one lawyer, one college professor, and a host of other parents that I know and who care about their childrens’ educations, the Campbells don’t need a reason.  They simply have to file a curriculum and Billy has to be tested regularly.

While Jonathan is still struggling with Dr. Suess, Billy Campbell recently read The Reader (I’m sure that the only thing Mr. Taylor could get from the MOVIE, is Kate Winslet’s bare ass) and an excellent biography of Capt. William Bligh (perhaps Jonathan can rent a video of Mutiny on the Bounty).  Billy is currently tackling Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged (sorry Jonathan, no movie or cartoon available).

For a science project, Billy built a hydrogen-powered car that actually generates its own hydrogen.  What has Jonathan done lately?  Oh, he called Jennifer Albero (one of the most genuinely sweet individuals I have ever known) a bitch.  Perhaps if Taylor’s parents had cared a little more he might have been home schooled.  Perhaps he wouldn’t have turned out to be such a schmuck (don’t try Jonathan, it’s Yiddish).

Merely to prove that the Taylor – Comegys – Boda – Shields – Tilghman cabal was even sleazier than we thought, Taylor decided to play politics with Bill Campbell’s health.  Unfortunately, Taylor cannot grasp the difference between a chronic illness and an acute one.  While it’s certainly not my place to discuss Bill Campbell’s health, or anyone else’s, I’m definitely willing to stack Bill’s physical well being up against Taylor’s mental health six days a week and twice on Sunday.

While I’m not particularly surprised by the rants and ravings of Jonathan Taylor, I am surprised that his pals continue to stand by him.  Muir Boda has already announced his intention to run for city council in 2011.  Gary Comegys’ council seat will be up for re-election then as well.

Several things were made clear in last Tuesday’s election.  Yes, citizens voted for change.  Yes, voters repudiated the pro-slumlord, tax and spend policies of Messrs. Comegys and Boda.  Yes, the crime platform of the Barrie Comegys ticket was basically laughed out of town.

However, both Comegys and Boda seem to be overlooking another factor.  When interviewed by various members of our local media, a lot of voters stated that they voted for Ireton and / or Campbell because of the nasty, sleazy campaign run by the Barrie Comegys ticket.

Given their poor showing on the issues, the blatant use of illegal slumlord money, and an obvious backlash from their chosen campaign style, you would think that both Boda and Comegys would distance themselves from the bile and hatred spewed by Mr. Taylor.

That’s OK.  It will simply make 2011 an easier race.  I wonder who they’ll promote as the “gay” candidate then?  Probably Terry Cohen.  She’s a wife and mother of two.  I guess they’ll figure we won’t see that one coming.  Maybe they’ll accuse her of being “Jewish”.  With a name like Cohen, voters simply couldn’t figure that one out on their own.

I have a sneaking suspicion that both Comegys and Boda won’t be taken seriously as candidates again until they publicly denounce the tactics of Taylor and their slumlord pals.  At least then they’ll only have to defend bad policy stances.

Post Script -

As I’m putting this post to bed, something told me to check out Mr. Taylor one more time before I went home.  This is what I found:

This game today between Joey and I has gotten beyond childish and I am no longer having any part of it. I have deleted all posts from today, because to be honest I am uncomfortable with the crap and I am not gonna do this anymore. This blog is about politics and if Joey wants to keep putting picture of me and my wife on his blog he can have at it, I’m done dealing with his stupidity. At least I’m doing the right thing, sorry to any I offended for trying to defend myself.

Some may believe that Taylor should be applauded for this.  I would too, if it came from a better man.  You should then ask yourself why I’m linking to screen captures instead of his actual site.

Taylor has
a nasty little habit of posting really bad stuff and then pulling it down after a while.  He’ll come back and deny the offending post(s) entirely or claim that “it was a joke”.  I’m sure Jim Ireton had a huge laugh over some of the crap Taylor wrote about him.  I know Debbie Campbell has.

Sure, Joe Albero has crossed the lines that I draw for myself more than once.  Fortunately, he has seldom, if ever, gone as far as Taylor and the Barrie Comegys ticket.  Sure, I would never put up pictures of Taylor’s wife April (even though she is wearing a costume and make-up and does supposedly “contribute” to the unofficial blog of the Barrie Comegys ticket).  I’m the first one to admit that posting Mrs. Taylor’s place of employment is no better than Taylor doing it about Jennifer Albero.

While intellectually I know that two wrongs don’t make a right, I actually sympathize a little with Albero.  Taylor has attacked me personally with false innuendo and outright lies.  He’s had to pull down posts because they were clearly false AND libelous.  Fortunately, he hasn’t attacked my wife and kids – YET.  While I hope that I could remain rational and objective, I’m simply not sure.

Who knows?  There is a theoretical possibility that the sun won’t rise tomorrow.  Perhaps Jonathan Taylor and his pals can be taken at their word – this time.
