Yes, I know it’s not morning. I apologize for that, but today’s been a bear. Passport photos and a check-up for one of my kids, blood drive at the school, and trying to do a little work.
Delaware -
Delaware Gov. Jack Markell says that PORKULUS is not a “silver bullet”. He obviously hasn’t been listening to Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley.
Lisa Diller wins special election for New Castle County council seat.
Wilmington Mayor James Baker to grovel for cash along with other mayors. Hopes for inside track because of relationship with VP Joe “Mr. Articulate” Biden.
TommyWonk discusses the effects of monetary policy on inflation. No Tom, we don’t have inflation now – we’re in a recession! We won’t see high inflation AND a recession until AFTER your leftist pals reintroduce full blown Keynesian fantasies in place of the admittedly poor fiscal policy of the Bushies.
Maryland -
Hoyer gains influence after DECADES in the minority? The last time I checked, the GOP only had control of the Congress for 12 years. Conservatives had control for less than FOUR!
O’Malley to the People’s Republic – PORKULUS saves Maryland! Now children can go to school and will no longer have to eat from garbage cans. Expect to see funds appropriated for a statue of Obama, O’Malley, and “Little Tommy” Pelosi in every town in state.
Baltimore Mayor no longer welcome at White House. I’m so shocked!
Virginia -
Smoking ban passes House. Urban – Rural divide overshadows party politics.
Will Virginia get budget transparency?
National -
Patrick Ruffini has a great post from the GOP Tech Summit.
What’s the rush? Thomas Sowell nails Obama and the Dems.
House Majority Whip James Clyburn plays race card over PORKULUS.
Dave Burris has a great piece on the hypocrisy of the leftist Congresspersons supporting cardcheck. These people think that MEXICAN workers deserve a secret ballot. AMERICAN WORKERS DON’T!
Dave has another piece about who will be knocking on your door.
Ken Blackwell on equal opportunity vs. equal outcomes in higher education.
Thanks for a great week! We should have a few things up this weekend and the Morning Line will be back on Monday.
