Delaware -
John Carney is running for Congress. DelawareLiberal is thrilled! Of course, they can’t stand Rep. Mike Castle (R-DE) anyway. Given that the Delaware Democrat leadership did everything short of stuffing the box against Jack Markell, what are Carney’s chances?
Colossus applauds Alabama Gov. Bob Riley for publishing the state’s disbursements. He’s right on! I wonder if we’ll be seeing that around here anytime soon?
Maryland -
If he can’t have a Republican, my Red Maryland colleague Chester Peake wants Doug Duncan in 2010. I’ll admit, Duncan’s op-ed in the WaPo is pretty good. Of course, O’Malley will just have to stuff the box in two races if Duncan declares.
The Sun’s David Nitkin gives a great accounting of value of Annapolis lobbyists.
Virginia -
Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA) on PORKULUS – a crapshoot!
Virginia Virtucon nails Stafford County down! I thought Obama was leading all his Democrat brethren to the promised land.
Brian Kirwin over at Bearing Drift explains the demise of the transportation plan. Senate Dems to Virginia – If we can’t raise taxes, you can rot in traffic!
Too Conservative has some great posts on the GOP AG battle. Part I discusses electability and Part II decries mass meeting / convention nominating. I don’t agree, but they are thoughtful and well written.
National -
Red Maryland’s Matt Johnston has a great post on the rank hypocrisy of the Obama-imposed pay cap on Wall Street.
New Capitalism = Old Socialism – The Carroll Standard has a great, short economics lesson for all the Changeniks out there. They won’t understand it. They certainly won’t agree with it. They should read none the less.
You’re not in Kansas anymore Dorothy!
