And what qualifies Delaware Liberal to advise the GOP?
Colussus is worried that the libs are not only going to take Rush off the air, but come after those of us in the conservative blogosphere next. While I don’t agree, I’m grateful that there are vigilant people out there keeping the lefties semi-honest.
Delaware Liberal‘s cassandra_m thinks that SNL’s parody of the GOP congressional leadership is hilarious. AmSpec‘s Wlady Pleszczynski doesn’t. Not surprisingly, I agree with Pleszczynski. While there are few more critical of Boehner et al than I, it just wasn’t very funny after the first minute or so.
Maryland -
It’s for the children. While Maryland continues to prove that it is incapable of living within its means, a $1.1 billion handout from the Feds is supposed to help bailout Maryland’s public schools. I’m sure O’Malley will be putting on the knee pads again in a few months and heading back to DC.
Frank Kratovil’s apologist-in-chief, ShoreIndie, is printing Flip-Flop Frank’s press releases. Wait, I thought when Joe Albero did it for Andy Harris that was BAAAAD!
Virginia -
Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) likes to play at being the conservative messiah. Unfortunately, his years of kowtowing to the likes of Denny Hastert, John Boehner and disgraced ex-whip Roy Blunt took the bloom off that rose. While Cantor may believe that he has a second shot the man who actually built the conservative majority in Congress, former Speaker Newt Gingrich, gives credit for GOP cohesion on PORKULUS to the arrogant Dems across the aisle.
Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine states that $1 billion gift from Obama will more than offset the latest drop in revenue projections. At some point, state governments will become irrelevant as they become mere conduits for Federal money.
National -
As we become slaves to a crippling national debt, even the Washington Post agrees that we can’t keep this up. The Democrat response – YES WE CAN!
BACK TO THE ’70′s – The Democrat’s Greatest Hits
As Obama and his pals appropriate a higher percentage of GDP than the early New Deal, where does our future lie?
How Democracies Become Tyrannies – this is quite possibly the best blog post I have ever read. You should take the time to read it. It is about politics in only the broadest, most philosophical form. Yet, if you care about our nation’s future it is well worth your time.
Is the WaPo‘s EJ Dionne playing Eleanor Clift to Barack Obama’s Bill Clinton? It seems that Dionne and some of his fellows could be petioning for tax exemption any day as they establish the New Church of the Messiah.
Rick Moran’s not happy with the CPAC agenda. He has some valid points. Unfortunately, he also seems to believe that we can’t learn much from the great conservative leaders of our past.
