Harry Reid in the Schoolhouse Door

Like his fellow Democrat, the late George Wallace, Senate Majority “Leader” Harry Reid (D-NV) is trying to keep a black man out of a white man’s domain. Personally, I thought that Reid was a smarter politician.
The Congressional Black Caucus is screaming for newly appointed Sen.(?) Roland Burris to be seated. It was leaked that Reid attempted to negotiate the appointment of a white woman, but would not agree to the appointment of ANY African-American. Now his own caucus is rebelling. Then Reid attempted to broker a deal that would require Burris to pledge not to run for the post in 2010. I hope the people of Illinois really appreciate the Senator from Caesar’s Palace dictating to them who can run for office.
This was a simple matter. Burris should NOT be seated at present. He is required to have a certificate from the Illinois Secretary of State, which he does not possess. Burris needs to wait until the courts demand that the Secretary of State sign the document (as he is required to do).
It doesn’t matter that Gov. Blago is under indictment. Until impeached, cause he ain’t ever gonna resign, the Governor has the right to appoint a successor. If there was “pay to play” then it needs to be proven. In the meantime, pseudo-Senator Burris needs to get his paperwork in order and THEN the Senate needs to swear the man in.
Power corrupts …
So now our democracy allows politicians to remove Governors on allegations? As a Republican I don’t like that mess one bit of the KKK Senate and the Illinois politicians ploy for power! and if the Dems will turn and eat their own what would they do my party if they did not like a Republican Governor and to think they could impeach him on allegations. The KKK Senate and those politicians in Illinois ain’t up to no good and I for one think what they are doing stinks up to high heavens!!!!!! Blago you hold your ground!!!!! these demons aint up to no good! It aint you that needs to go Blago it is Reid and where does he get off telling the people of Illinois who “he” wants and it best not be an African American? As a faithful and loyal servant of President Bush whom I love let the world know that we Republicans are committed to the success of President Elect Obama it is the Senate Dems with their KKK leader Reid who he best watch his back!
