Even (Most of) the Canadians Get It

Deficit spending and raising taxes just isn’t the answer.  Even our supposedly “more enlightened” neighbors to the north get it.  Cutting tax rates and controlling spending are fiscally sane ways to spur economic growth.

I did say “most” Canadians get it.  New Liberal Leader, Michael Ignatieff states that he’s ready to raise the GST (the Goods & Services Tax – a federal sales tax).  While I believe that American politicians place too much emphasis on pushing consumption, M. Ignatieff should call Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley and ask him how raising Maryland’s sales tax went.
