Desperation at Kamp Kratovil, Hypocrisy on the Leftist Front

It seems that Frank Kratovil’s people are getting a little uptight as we move closer to Tuesday’s election. While Kratovil whines about his record as a prosecutor is being made public, the propaganda arm of his campaign is moving in to overdrive with specious attacks on Andy Harris’ character.
We’ve seen a small group of local doctors attempt to claim that even physicians support Kratovil over one of their own. We need to look at the motives of these “care givers”. Evidence suggests that this small group would actually benefit from the socialized medicine scheme advocated by Kratovil.
Fortunately, local physicians rallied against the specious claims made by these individuals. In just a few hours they put together a piece explaining why Andy Harris is the best proponent of health care for Eastern Shore residents. As word spread, many more doctors asked to have their names included on the letter. Unfortunately, the Daily Times had a deadline of 5PM Thursday.
These physicians explained Kratovil’s support of trial lawyers who drive up the cost of health care while contributing nothing to patient care:
We need only look to see where trial lawyers are throwing their money in this election — at Frank Kratovil — to know doctors and their patients will receive no relief from unnecessary tests and procedures if Kratovil is elected to Congress. More litigation will only increase the cost of health care, while contributing nothing to the health of our patients.
They expressed their dismay at Kratovil and his allies attempting to portray the world’s greatest health care system as little better than that of a Third World country:
We read the ridiculous claims that America has a nearly Third World health care system. Do any of us really believe this? In the countries Kratovil and his supporters believe we should emulate, rationing of care is the norm. Patient choice has long gone by the wayside.
We are blessed with fine local hospitals. Just a short drive down the road we have Johns Hopkins, regarded as the finest medical facility in the world, and where Harris practices and teaches our next generation of physicians. When people think of excellence in health care, they think of great institutions like Hopkins, the Mayo Clinic, Sloan-Kettering, and the Cleveland Clinic. When was the last time you heard someone say they wanted to travel to Montreal or Berlin for top-flight medical care?
Ultimately, these doctors took precious time to rebut the foolish claims of a few colleagues because they are concerned about us, their patients:
We cannot in good conscience advocate a system that strips away choice from our patients, rations their access to care and all but guarantees the systematic change of the world’s leading health care system into a maze of bureaucracy and waiting lines. Why do a few of our colleagues? …Our patients are and will continue to be our primary concern. That is why we firmly believe Harris will best serve us, our patients, our community and our nation as congressman.
The usual suspects have been out twisting the truth as well:
Bud the Klansman (sorry, Bud the Blogger) attacked a group of Harford County conservatives because they dared to bring attention to Frank Kratovil’s support of gay marriage. Bud tries to argue that Kratovil is against “gay marriage”. Of course, Bud fails to admit that Kratovil is on record supporting “civil unions”, which is merely the leftist euphemism for same-sex marriage. Besides, Kratovil should be proud of his stance. For goodness sake, he is a member of a church that sanctions gay marriage.
TwoSentz implies that Andy Harris is a racist because of a post supposedly made by Joe Albero at Salisbury News. Let’s forget the fact that I can’t find the post (if I had, I would have written about it, as I have done in the past).
TwoSentz is one of the people who attacked me because I ran a post about the questionable racial views of some of Kratovil’s supporters in the blogosphere. In this post I was explicit that I was not implying Frank Kratovil was a racist. Yet, my socialist pal TwoSentz does exactly the same thing he falsely accuses me of. We need to remember that this is perfectly acceptable behavior because leftist hypocrisy is “for the children” and their “motives” are more important than their actions.
TwoSentz also attacks Harris, through Albero, because of comments posted on Salisbury News. I happen to agree with the sentiment, but I honestly couldn’t find the comments in a search. Oddly, the same man who attacks Harris because of comments posted on a blog, criticizes Albero for not posting all comments. I’ve even been criticized, and Delmarva Dealings has an explicit policy of allowing all comments except those which are libelous or contain obscenity.
I’d get out and knock on some doors guys. You’ve got less than two days and then the jig is up. Spreading lies for your little messiah won’t do much good this close to the election.

Kratovil secures tens of thousand of bucks in campaign cash from defense lawyers, virtually all of whom routinely represent defendants that Kratovil is supposed to be aggressively prosecuting. That’s a fact. And its sleazy. I wonder is Kratovil ever told the parents of the girl who was molested that he took $2,000 from the child abuser’s defense lawyer? I don’t care if Kratovil claims that he wasn’t influenced by the campaign cash–his conduct is unethical and should be investigated…..I’m sure the Daily Times and the Sun will be right on it…
