Salisbury University to Host Kratovil Campaign Event

This afternoon at 2PM, Salisbury University is hosting a “press conference” in Holloway Hall for Dem candidate Frank Kratovil and Sen. Barbara Mikulski. The purported purpose of this dog and pony show is to discuss:
the impact of federal funding at Salisbury University and the University of Maryland System, including the importance of federal student aid to Maryland college students.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we’ll also hear how “Blue Dog Frank” is now firmly entrenched in the Nancy Pelosi / Barney Frank camp when it comes to last week’s $700 billion bailout and cover-up of past liberal sins. It’s not much of a stretch. At last week’s debate, Kratovil was for it, against it, for it IF, and against it IF.
Probably the most disconcerting thing about this charade is that your Maryland tax dollars are being used for partisan political purposes. That’s right, your tax dollars are being used to pimp for Democratic candidates. Should we be surprised? No, this is Maryland after all.
I’m just waiting to hear all of the justifications from our lefty friends who think that this is perfectly fine. I wonder how they would feel if Andy Harris demanded equal use of school facilities?
Little noticed, this will not be the only use of SU for the purposes of pimping for Kratovil. Rep. John Sarbanes spoke last week at SU. While I didn’t attend, I’m willing to bet that Frank Kratovil’s name came up more than once.
All in all, I could care less that a group of liberals like Sarbanes and Mikulski are coming to the shore to pitch for this “moderate, independent Democrat”. It only adds more evidence to the fact that Kratovil is a liberal ally of Martin O’Malley and the Maryland Democrat machine who will not hesitate to sell out the good people of the First District the first time Nancy Pelosi or her pal Steny Hoyer tell him too.
This is one of the reasons that Kratovil’s supporters keep trying to sell voters on the false notion that Kratovil is “one of us”, a tough prosecutor from the Eastern Shore. Whenever you mention the fact that Kratovil was born in Montgomery County and raised in PG County his supporters get their knickers in a major twist. God forbid you mention how many felons he’s plead out on light sentences just to make himself look good.
This only helps to show that Frank Kratovil’s allegiances are to people who either don’t care about the First District – other than to win another liberal seat in the House – or hold us in utter contempt. That he’s using SU shouldn’t surprise us either. Given the activism of many of its faculty and administration, particularly in trying to strip average citizens of their property rights, Kratovil will fit right in.

GA- Lets try to get your facts right here… First Congressman Sarbanes did not speak at SU. The event was postponed…. Second he was speaking about education… So what is the problem with that?
And Salisbury is not hosting anything… It is public space and anyone can go there and speak… If Senator Harris wanted to do the same, their phone number is in the phone book…
As I stated, I wasn’t in attendance for Sarbanes. I just remember the posters when I was on campus. As for SU allowing anyone to use their space, you would be mistaken.
No offense, but I can hear the screams now if Harris had asked to use Holloway Hall prior to this dog and pony show. We’d be hearing all about the “politicization of our universities, etc.”.
While I realize that the Dems want it both ways, that’s not how the world works. A key reason why their programs usually fail.
