Blue Dog Frank

In another lame, but amusing, attempt at pandering to First District voters, Democrat congressional candidate Frank Kratovil has now pledged to join the “Blue Dog Coalition” if elected to Congress. Yes Frank, we all know that you CLAIM to be a moderate. Yes Frank, we all know that you CLAIM to love America and apple pie too.

America is at war. The economy is on the decline. We’re paying $4 a gallon for gas.

Does Frank Kratovil have any solutions? Sure. Frank’s going to be a “Blue Dog”.

Should we dismiss dandy Andy’s association with the Club for Growth as an amusing attempt to pander to the First District’s conservative voters? At one time, Andy was for a government run health insurance program similar to the one in Massachusetts. That changed when he started running for Congress. Andy thinks that the Federal government should pay to replenish the OC beach. If he wants to see something that needs to be replenished, he should have driven a few miles south to see the damage to Assateague Island’s north end that has been caused in part by the jetties of Ocean City. And in his latest questionable move, he is advocating government incentives for alternative energy. I think Andy will do anything to get elected. One of the reasons Andy is running for Congress is that he knows he will never get anything done in the Maryland State Senate. The Republicans booted him from his minority leader position, and he hasn’t gotten a single bill passed as a sole sponsor in the last three years. The only thing he knows how to do well is point out what he thinks is wrong with everybody else.

The Blue Dogs want a balanced budget. Do you think that is a bad idea?

BTW. Gas is $3.60 now. Time for a new line. Russia is going to war with Georgia and oil still goes down. How’s that supply/demand theory workin’ for ya. Oil is down $32 from the peak.
