Eric Cantor for VP!

No, this isn’t an endorsement. McCain will pick whoever he’s most comfortable with. But I have to admit that the idea is not only intriguing, placing Eric on the ticket would be a great choice!

Cantor’s young, smart, and respected among all of his colleagues. Cantor’s a fighter! While I don’t always agree with him (like McCain), I’ve always respected him (again, like McCain). He bring in needed support from the right, yet he doesn’t scare moderates.

Cantor is a leader. He’s adding to that credential now as one of the members leading the charge to force Pelosi to call the House back into session.

IF McCain did choose Cantor as a running mate, we can only hope that the Democrat punditocracy will continue on the same path in criticizing Cantor:

  • He’s too young.
  • He hasn’t served in Congress long enough.

Of course I guess these factors don’t come into play when you’re the Messiah. Given that Cantor has held public office AND served in Congress longer than Obama, we’ll have to see what other foolishness the Obama sycophants can come up with IF Cantor is on McCain’s ticket.

Eric Cantor is a great pick for McCain, a solid conservative that helps in FL, OH, NJ AND can win VA–This seems to be a no brainer. He stretches the map for McCain and forces Obama to play defense in Dem states. Oh and he can raise McCain lots of money, which McCain desperatly needs. The obscurity issues is fixable, like Lieberman or Cheney–once the msm goes wall to wall on a guy, it will be fixed.
