Delaware Liberal - Truth In Advertising
I have to admit it. I love Delaware Liberal. No, I didn’t say that I agree with the blog. I just appreciate someone who will stand up for what they believe and don’t hide in shadows.
In an age where “liberal” is a dirty word, Jason Scott and his compadres stand up as proud socialists. A post on Monday is a great case in point.
Pandora is thrilled that the Messiah is going on the attack regarding energy policy. I admire someone who is willing to stand tall and assert:
- More government spending is a big part of the answer to our energy problems. Let’s face it, more government spending is the answer to everything - except national security.
- We need politicians like Barack Hussein Obama telling us what kind of car we should drive; what kind of HVAC system we have in our homes.
- Oh, did I mention that we need more government spending. Our hard earned dollars need to subsidize solar power, wind power, (what the hell) anything as long as its non-defense government spending.
- I forgot. We need more government spending. This time to subsidize “clean biofuels”. Sure, ethanol has really helped reduce our dependence on oil and lowered the nation’s carbon footprint. But hey, it’s MORE government spending. Has to be right. Right?
Seriously, I do admire people who stand up for what they believe. It doesn’t matter whether I agree with them or not. Nor does it matter, in the case of die hard libs, whether I understand them or not.

I find that site makes my blood boil more than anything. I can’t believe that they actually believe some of the stuff they write about. The Dark Side is strong there.
C’mon Elbert, don’t let these guys worry you. I’m serious about enjoying their posts. I’m just as serious about not understanding them. I have a hard time understanding something that is inconsistent in nature.
We have a huge advantage. We subscribe to a philosophy that is tried, true and tested. Liberals lack a core philosophy. Their prescriptions are based on feelings. We have a vision, they want to do “stuff” and government always seems to be their preferred agent.

Good post! I don’t know why I keep heading over to argue with these folks. Maybe because they’re amusing?
