Bearing Drift notes that there is no wonder why Democrats aren’t for tax breaks. Nobody games the system better.
However, there is a new low – even for the Democrats.
While you and I are paying $4+ per gallon, members of the 2008 Democrat Convention Host Committee are running around Denver on gas pumped at the city’s own pumps. This means that there was no federal or state tax paid on the gas.
It’s funny how these same people ridicule Republicans like John McCain and Andy Harris for advocating a summer repeal of the gas tax, but don’t mind taking advantage of the same thing for themselves. Party of the people, right?
