Do Illegals Vote?

The question is not CAN illegal aliens vote in U. S. elections, but DO they vote in our elections? The answer is an unqualified YES, and it could impact who our next President is and the makeup of the next Congress.

The Heritage Foundation outlines past instances of voting by illegals and the fight by leftists to convince Americans (real, honest, LEGAL Americans) that this isn’t a problem. While groups like ACORN are telling working class Americans that they are working for their best interests, this group is out there trying to register voters without any regard to citizenship. In Clark County, NV Larry Lomax, the Registrar of Voters states:

“he sees rampant fraud in the 2,000 to 3,000 registrations ACORN turns in every week.”

As Heritage points out, we already know of at least one Congressional seat that was turned over to the Democrats due (at least in part) to the voting of illegal aliens (1996 – Bob Dornan was ousted by Loretta Sanchez).

Here in Maryland we self-certify our citizenship, and therefore our right to vote. As someone who works to register voters I know that my local registrar does attempt to verify citizenship through social security numbers. However, that is certainly not foolproof.

Of course, this doesn’t matter if your local registrar is more interested in signing up Democrats than citizens.
