It would be unfair to question the motivations of an individual teacher, but there appears to be no question as to where the Delaware State Education Association (DSEA) is coming from – destroy charter schools to put more money in the pockets of their members AND in the union’s coffers. The News-Journal outlines the DSEA strategy to tear down charter schools in the First State.

It seems that Delaware’s largest public employee union has hired a DC consulting firm to develop a strategy to stop the growth of charter schools in Delaware and ultimately get the money back where it belongs – in the monopolistic hands of school district bureaucrats. It’s for the children, don’t you know.
