Will Mark Warner Flip, or Flop?

Former Gov. Virginia Mark Warner seems incapable of maintaining a position when it comes to illegal immigration. Last Friday Warner stated that he would have supported the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill had he been in Congress. During the same appearance, he called for more enforcement at the border and stronger employer sanctions.

Of course history has proven that granting amnesty negates enforcement. Even Mark Warner can’t have it both ways.

We can only guess what position Warner will take on his successor’s attempts to restrict the 2nd amendment rights of Virginians. Of course we shouldn’t worry too much. He can always change his position the next day. It will simply depend on the audience at that particular moment.

Next we’ll be hearing press accounts that Warner never increased taxes as Governor.
