Conspiracty Theorist of the World UNITE!

As you may be aware, Delmarva Dealings has been down most of today. Since my servers were paid in full until next May I couldn’t figure out what the problem was. According to my hosting company’s tech support guy, some person(s) had managed to load some malicious scripts onto my server and my hosting company was forced to suspend my server to protect the rest of the server farm:

I have unsuspended your account. It has been exploited via scripts on the server, and malicious files were uploaded to the machine that tried to compromise it. I encourage you to update any scripts you have immediately as failure to do so could not only bring the server down, it would also mean further suspensions of the account.

We’ve upgraded all of our WordPress and Joomla installations and hopefully we won’t have that problem again for a while. I honestly don’t think that Barrie Tilghman did it, but who the hell knows.

Hopefully we’ll have fresh content up during the day on Sunday. We’ve got some excellent local stuff in the wings. Just need the time to get it up.
