Each month Don Rush, news director of WSDL-FM (90.7) hosts an on-air panel discussion of an issue affecting Delmarva. This Friday at 12 noon Don’s subject will be blogs and their impact on Delmarva.

Participating in the discussion will be:

  • Juliet Dee, PhD - Associate Professor of Communications at the University of Delaware
  • Lynn Cathcart - former Salisbury City Councilwoman and member of the infamous “Dream Team”
  • Tom Noyes - publisher of the blog “TommyWonk”

Tune in see what we have to say about the Delmarva blogosphere and its impact on our area.

    What time, please?
    Thank you.

Sounds interesting. Would you kindly provide the time this show should air?

    ***** RED NET ALERT *****

This appears to be a set-up by Don (FOB) Rush. The folks from Delaware are not likely to be familiar with the absurd performances of Cathcart on the City Council and how the local blogs blew her out of the water. She and the Daily Times person will no doubt bad-mouth if not try to trash our bloggers. The panel should include all Salisbury folks, including another prominent blogger from these parts (why not Joe Albero?).

    .
So, who is “Juliet Dee, PhD”???

Prof Dee, who apparently is neither Sandra’s sibling nor a law school grad, seems to have expertise in communication/media law with special focus on first amendment-objectionable content issues. See her official resume at:
    http://www.udel.edu/johnc/faculty/vitas/dee_vita.html

Using google, I was unable to find anything pertaining directly to blogs in her repertoire.

Let’s hope that she is familiar with the Salisbury scene — lousy local government coverage by the mainsteam media has resulted in several local blogs that cover it in detail and have exposed numerous shenanigans and worse in the City of Salisbury and may have ended the political career of Lynn Cathcart.

Because we can’t rely on Don Rush to give her the real background — to contact the good professor:

    JulieD@UDel.edu
    or
    juliedee@udel.edu

(don’t know if these are the same address)

  6. Joe Albero says:

Give the guy a break. Delmarva Dealings will be a fine representative for Delmarva’s Eastern Shore. Although I’d LOVE to go up against Lynn Cathcart, GA will do just fine.

I believe if you read his Post more carefully it states the Show is at NOON on Friday. Here’s a good question for all of you though. How many of you actually visit the Daily Times Blogs? I doubt they get much of a readership at all.

  7. ¿Yh8? says:

Admittedly, Yh8 doesn’t dive into the Times site too much.

Either we all missed it or it was later added but I believe a thank you is in order for pointing out the time Joe.

  8. Joe Albero says:

    It is/was my please Sir.

  9. Tim Chaney says:

I never go to the papers blog, the news is all I can do to keep my cereal down now.

  10. sickofsmallsbarrie says:

Would love to know which blogger id is Lynn and her hubby Don, for they most certainly post comments with regularity. HYPOCRITES

  11. First Timer says:

I can’t listen then (noon on Aug.31). Will it be rebroadcast or shown on TV (PAC-14)? Hope it will so we can see Cathcart’s absurd posturing once again.

  12. Tim Chaney says:

They should name a street after her, Cartcath Circle hehehehe, running around like a chicken trying to catch it’s tail and babbling like a hen pecker.
