Why Jill Carter Won’t Be the Next Mayor of Baltimore
It’s simple, Del. Carter would actually do a good job. I know that Ms. Carter is as liberal as they come, but she’s more of a Truman / Kennedy liberal than the tax and spend appeasers who rule the Democrat party today.
True, Ms. Carter wants to throw more money at a failed school system. The difference is that she wants the money to go into the classroom rather than funding additional pro-teachers’ union bureaucracy. Any Democrat who is willing to admit that the education bureaucracy “is rife with corruption” doesn’t have a prayer in a place like Charm City.
She actually has a plan for crime, something that her opponents only give lip service to. If it wasn’t for the skyrocketing homicide rate, we’d probably be hearing a lot more about the poor oppressed masses and our need to understand their need to rob, rape and murder.
It’s a shame that the voters of Baltimore don’t posses enough common sense to elect a woman of her caliber. Instead of solving their problems, they will just want another excuse to whine for four more years.
