Another Manic Monday – Time to Hand Out Some More Tax Dollars

The citizens of Salisbury know the drill too, too well. On the second and fourth Mondays of the month the Salisbury City Council comes together and those great allies of the taxpayer – Louise Smith, Gary Comegys and Shanie “I Ain’t Never Seen No Wasteful Government Spending” Shields come together and hand out more tax dollars to the needy of Salisbury (usually developers and contractors). Tonight will be no exception.
Rather than give you a lengthy analysis of how the average Salisbury taxpayer is being scr#w#d with his or her pants on, I though that I would just summarize:
- Over $400,000 in “change orders” for the “ahead of schedule and under budget” fire house on the West Side.
- An other extension of the waiver of liens granted by the city for Mr. Don Hughes. Mr. Hughes, if you recall, is a sometimes business partner of ex-councilman Mike Dunn’s daddy.
There’s probably more, but who really cares. Twice each month a majority of the Salisbury Council seems to dole out more of the taxpayers’ hard earned money to friends, relative, friends of relatives, partners of relatives, relatives of partners ….
Of course, this is what Barrie Tilghman and her dirty little guild want us all to do – GIVE UP! Don’t worry. I’m just taking a rest.

According to the agenda for today’s City Council meeting, the “scheme team” (Louise, Shanie and Bubba) is also going to give Hughes an easement on city property that will greatly increase the value of his property.
The Mayor’s Fatwa against Salisbury citizens(those that speak out anyway)continues.
