Obama and Comparable Worth

No one has ever accused liberals of having a fresh idea since the 1970′s. According to “Powerline”, Barack Obama has signed on to the concept of “comparable worth“.

Most of you probably don’t even know what the concept is because it was so thoroughly discredited during the Reagan administration. Basically, comparable worth means that the government will dictate how much you can be paid. Let’s say you are a truck driver. Someone decides that the job of a motel housekeeper is comparably worth the same amount. The government then dictates that both jobs have to be paid the same hourly wage.

Sounds ridiculous? Of course it is; but to those of us who were active in the conservative movement circa 1976 – 1984 we know how close it actually came to reality.

Thirty years later we have the likes of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Lefty ideas never die. They are just re-packaged for a future generation. The leftists just keep hoping that we will have a moment in time where enough stupid people vote in two consecutive elections.
