“Tilghman Times” to Jerry’s Kids - F! U!

As I am sure you have read in the “Salisbury News“, Councilwoman Debbie Campbell is “Going to Jail” to raise money for the MDA. To promote this worthy cause Mrs. Campbell sent a letter to the editor of the “Tilghman Times”.

Today she received a response from Editorial Page Editor Susan Parker. It appears that the “Tilghman Times” doesn’t consider this worthy of publication. In other words, Ms. Parker could care less about Jerry’s Kids unless it somehow serves her agenda.

I wonder if her advertisers and her bosses at Gannett would agree? Only time will tell.

It seems two of my regular readers have been posting on story time or stary chat or whatever it is on the Times and they have been removing the comments. They’re getting a reply that states they can re post them after the election. UNBELIEVABLE STUFF!

But when Susan Parker’s son scored a high SAT it was front page news a few years back. What do you expect, Parker’s husband is a longtime subcontractor for slumlords and developers.

We can only wonder why this doesn’t fit the Times’ agenda. “If we do it for them, then we’ll have to do it for everyone?” Not particularly valid. Some Gannett rule? Not likely. A muzzle on anything Debbie? More likely.

I also wonder what Debbie’s employer would think. They’re a pretty large and powerful organization, in their own right.
