Mo’ Money, Mo’ Money, Mo’ Money

The belief that Virginia needs to spend more on education is just another example of Dems pandering to their base and hoping to bring in some swing voters to boot. Their attempt to justify tax increases for transportation by claiming that education will suffer is not only old school, but ridiculous on its face. Bacon has the stats.

Since 1979, Virginia REAL funding for education has increased 147%. Staffing has increased 90%. Enrollement has increased only 13%.

Almost everyone is for good public education. Unfortunately for the NEA, too many of us also realize that throwing money at the problem is not always the answer.
