Redistricting Amendment Killed

The Virginia House Privileges and Elections Committee has killed a proposed constitutional amendment to make redistricting a “non-partisan” exercise. It amazes me that there was no call for such an amendment when the Democrats controlled the legislature.
Only after the GOP controls the process do we hear the clarion call to take the process out of the hands of elected officials.
