Campbell Responds

Salisbury City Councilwoman Debbie Campbell has responded to (just a few) of the slurs slung at her by Mike “Mr. Civility” Dunn and the disgraceful City Editor of the “Tilghman Times”, Joe Carmean. Unfortunately for the the citizens of Salisbury, they will never be given the opportunity to learn both sides of the argument, much less the truth, if they get their “news” via the “Tilghman Times”.

Mrs. Campbell is the only sitting member of the Salisbury council who bothers to show up at meetings prepared. She is the only member who bothered to spend more than five minutes reading last year’s audit. She is the only member who has dared to question why the current audit is 3+ months late. Debbie is the only current member of the Salisbury City Council who always listens to all of her constituents, rather than a few specials interests.

What does she receive for her effort? She receives a ridiculously low pay check each month. She is vilified in the newspaper. She has literally been backed into a corner by both Gary Comegys and Mike Dunn and threatened. Unfortunately for Messrs. Dunn and Comegys all 5′ 3″ of Debbie isn’t easily intimidated.

When tax rates are increased this year (along with sewer and water rates), the people who were snookered by the Scheme Team will only have themselves to blame if Comegys and his new compatriots are elected this April.
