Money for Developers, Not for Public Safety
As reported this morning in DuvaFiles, a Salisbury resident reported that their car was broken into. For this particular taxpayer it was the 7th time in three years that they had been a victim of crime. As Salisbury’s illustrious Mayor and her “council leadership” prepare to hand over millions to developers, this citizen’s words speak volumes:
Tomorrow nightTonight, the council will likely give away more taxpayer money to
developers to the tune of millions. Every time I look at a police officer who
comes to do a report, I think of how we can’t afford to pay them a living wage,
yet the city can give away precious tax dollars to developers who would
eventually develop their properties any way as a course of doing business.
Development which further strains the services of these officers.
What Salisbury needs is people like this on city council, rather than the “Dream Nightmare Team” we are stuck with at present.
