Cato:

What’s the Delmarva connection in this?

There is no direct connection. Ken Blackwell happens to be one of the most exciting conservative candidates running today. If he manages to win the governor’s seat, he’ a potential Presidential candidate. I’ve always believed that the first African-American and probably first woman Presidents would both be Republicans.

How about a more timely matter: which horse do you like for this year’s Ky. Derby?

I’ll go with “Showing Up” — decent times & good post position — with a big field & nothing trained by Lucas or Zito in the starting gate this one could be a cavalry charge in the homestretch.

Hey, I was pretty interested in it! Blackwell should have ran in ‘98 but the Ohio GOP talked him out of it because it was “Bob Taft’s turn.” That’s the governor who had a approval rating of SIX at one time last year.
