    ….and the search continues……

  2. If the answers to these questions are “no” you have not disproved or hampered Duvafiles’ investigation one iota. Granted, if the answer to either is “yes” we have game, set, match. And, the most transparently idiotic politician in recent memory. The quest for the answers to these questions and indeed, the answers themselves is so immaterial to the final judgment that they are annoying and evince a failure on your part to appreciate the enormity of the inquiry and its consequences for Mr. Dunn, the Mayor, and the local governmental process as a whole.

Go to Duvafiles for newly released dirt on Dunngate.

Come on Hadley, we know you don’t like this website and you appear a little upset about the Albero’s suit being dismissed. Don’t pick on these guys! They are looking for the truth like you and Bill.

They are asking a question that we all want to know. You have to relate to the regular folk here! Don’t be so evil, of course the whole thing smells to high heaven. Obviously there are serious issues besides monetary gain but it is us regular folks who find the monetary gain off of our blood and sweat the most disgusting part!

Mr. Dunn: answer the d— question, and answer it with(as the Mayor always says) “specificity”.
We needs lots of specificity in your case; lots of it, lots and lots of it.

You missed the point by a country mile. Nobody, with the exception of Mike Dunn and his buddies, is trying to disprove or hamper anyone’s investigation. Mike Dunn needs to answer some questions. If he denies his or his family’s involvement after the sale to Sassafras and Marquis it doesn’t necessarily stop there. Personally, I’m willing to bet the guy didn’t do anything illegal. I just don’t think he’s that stupid. However, I am willing to accept the distinct possibility that I am wrong. At this stage he should have to prove any denial he makes.

As for ethics, get real. I’m concerned about whether he has broken any laws. He hasn’t behaved ethically so far, why would I expect that he has in this case.

  7. anon says:

G.A., Hadley makes a great point and your repeated cop out that you don’t think he did anything illegal is incongruent to the two questions you pose. If the answer to either is yes Dunn did something illegal. Back off.

  8. Cato says:

At this point there is absolutely no evidence that Mike Dunn has done anything illegal. Does it look like he has? Sure. Does this whole thing smell worse than a menhaden boat? Again, yes. There is nothing incongruous with wanting Mike to answer certain questions yet not screaming for the guy to be indicted until we learn more. Talk to any lawyer. There is a big difference between immoral conduct and illegal conduct. I’m not surprised by his immoral conduct. I just want to know whether or not he acted illegally. To know that we first have to find out exactly what he did.

I went to school with Mike and endorsed him during his campaign. However recent facist events, like rudely supressing public opinion has made me toss my breakfast. I think Voters for the next election should do a lot of homework, eliminate anyone connected to real estate and developing and vote for hard working taxpayers that want the same for our area as we do. Don’t vote for people looking to stack the deck for family or freinds. If this area wants to really put the squeeze on the county budget we can organize a “Don’t work for the “Man” Day.” Just one day off by every taxpayer in the county would be a nice chuck of piggyback revenue taken away from the county budget directly by “We the People!”
