New Theme / New Comment System
NEW THEME -
I know that many of you weren’t fond of the “Journalized - Sand” theme that was up yesterday. We’ve experimented around a little and settled on this one for the time being. It is called “Red Stripe”. We’ve been looking for a decent three column theme and this seems to be it. The type is bigger than the “Journalized” series and some of you seem to prefer it.
NEW COMMENT SYSTEM -
This is really important. The new comment system is “threaded”. All this means is that you can reply to specific comments. Instead of being the 10th person to comment and replying to the guy who wrote the second comment, you can reply to that specific comment.
First, notice that all comments are in gray bordered boxes. When you see a specific comment that you want to respond to, click “Reply to this comment” in the lower right hand corner of the box. The comment area will insert and you can put in your user name, email, URI and comment. Click the “Add Comment” button and your comment is now inserted right below the comment you are replying to. You can reply to comments, replies to comments, and on down the line.
If you want to just comment on the original post, without any reference to another comment, just go to the bottom of the comments section and post your comment there. Your comment will now be at the bottom of the other comments.
Try it. Look at the 5 comments we put in to illustrate how it works. Since many of you are replying back and forth to other commenters, this should be really useful.
