Imagine The Scariest Bill Possible

Daniel Finkelstein of The Times has a column about the “Legislative and Regulatory Reform Bill” currently before the House of Commons. The bill would permit ministers to amend, repeal or replace any legislation simply by making an order and without having to bring a Bill before Parliament.

This is way over in the UK, why should you care? Great Britain is the mother of all constitutional governments; our mother country. If they can do something like that over their, is it possible that we could one day have such a measure?

Hopefully the courts would rule such a measure as unconstitutional, but who knows in this day and age.
