Cloture Passes, Alito To Be Confirmed 11 AM Tuesday
It’s about time. After placating the likes of John Kerry, the Senate has invoked cloture and ended “debate” on the confirmation of Judge Samuel Alito to be an Associate Justice of the U. S. Supreme Court. The vote was 72 - 25 in favor of cloture.
The Left believes that they have a campaign issue in this one. Their foolish behavior over Judge Alito is going to come back and bite them hard in November. Not only do the majority of Americans support Judge Alito’s confirmation, many who don’t still think that he didn’t deserve the vitriol cast at him by the likes of Ted Kennedy.
