The City Council and County may be in agreement, but the people living in the County, the National Fish and Wildlife Service, and the CBF are all opposed to this boondoggle. As one who has tolerate Colburn’s incompetence, it was no surprise to me that he was listed the third worst legislator in the Maryland House of Delegates.

While I agree that County needs some economic development, building a “Resort Community” at the edge of a National Wildlife Preserve is about as far from an economic development strategy as you can get. Too bad our elected officials can’t get off their duffs and court some of the large government contractors whose employees now live in the area, but commute 100 miles each way to get to work. Getting them to move their offices over here — now that would be economic development.
