A Tough Re-Election Battle?

Del. Don Dwyer (R-Anne Arundel) must have a tough re-election fight coming up. Del. Dwyer wants to impeach Baltimore Circuit Court Judge Brooke Murdock because of her recent ruling on same-sex marriage.

While I certainly don’t agree with Judge Murdock’s opinion, this doesn’t merit impeachment. I don’t know Del. Dwyer. I’m willing to bet that he would say that he favors an independent judiciary. I bet he would be totally opposed to a conservative judge being impeached for issuing an opinion that the Dems viewed as “wrong headed”.

I’m sure you’ll have a great campaign issue Del. Dwyer. Just be careful for what you wish for. – Maryland Moment
