A Hero Falls
Congressman Randy “Duke” Cunningham (R-CA) resigned his seat in the U. S. House today after pleading guilty to tax evasion and conspiracy charges. This is truly a sad day for America. Former Rep. Cunningham was a fighter ace and hero of the Vietnam war. While he is not the first congressman to be convicted of bribery related charges, it is especially sad to see one of our true military heroes fall to the sin of greed.

“RedState.org” poses an interesting question. What should be done about the defense contractor that was bribing Rep. Cunningham? Should the contractor lose all contracts and be banned from further bidding? Don’t hold your breath.
